A minor in real estate is available to all students at Roosevelt University. The real estate minor is recommended for students who want to enhance their academic programs with real estate-related coursework. Non-Business students may minor in only one Business discipline. Students must complete all prerequisites for courses in their chosen minor discipline. The real estate minor requires a B- average (2.75 GPA) in the minor real estate courses with a minimum allowed grade of C in any real estate course. At least three of the four courses for this minor must be taken at Roosevelt University. Students with questions regarding Business minors should consult the appropriate Assistant Dean or designee.
The real estate industry is a multi-disciplinary sector utilizing many skill sets and interests. The real estate minor is highly compatible with the following majors: All majors within the Heller College of Business, Integrated Marketing Communications, Communications, Economics, and Actuarial Science.
The requirements are four courses in Real Estate at the 300 level without overlap with the major requirements. At least three of the courses must be taken at Roosevelt University, and all courses must be passed with grades of C or higher and an average GPA of 2.75 in the minor courses. Students must complete all prerequisites for courses in their chosen minor area.
