Roosevelt University offers two master's level programs in Real Estate: a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Real Estate.
Students in either of these graduate level programs are supported by the institute which provides mentors, access to internships, multiple scholarships, professional development training, and industry forums. It also operates the Urban Retail Professional Development and Research Center with a library, study resources, and meeting facilities for Real Estate faculty and students. About the program
The MSRE graduate degree program is designed for those seeking further knowledge and skills in the real estate industry. It is a specialized degree tailored to provide students with knowledge that will prepare them for industry advancement success and leadership.
The curriculum, provides the academic and practical knowledge necessary to achieve success in a broad range of industry subsectors, such as real estate development, finance and investments, property management, investment analysis. Specialized classes with an interdisciplinary approach combine foundational industry knowledge with practical real estate application. This program attracts individuals from throughout the real estate industry, such as commercial and residential brokerage, architecture, construction, finance and lending, property management, urban planning, asset and investment management, and consulting.
Admission Policy for Master of Science in Real Estate
Students admitted to the MSRE program (i) without an undergraduate degree in Business or a business-related degree; or, (ii) having completed the undergraduate degree requirement more than 10 years prior to admission to the MSRE will be required to complete a training program in Excel as applied to the real estate industry. This program will be made available to students upon registration for classes for their first semester in the MSRE degree program. At this time, the program will be provided at no cost and can be taken by other interested MSRE students as a refresher course.

Requirements
Students in this specialized 30-credit hour program will take one online preparatory course, four Real Estate core courses and six real estate electives (up to two business electives can be substituted as needed).

The program’s degree map is reviewed annually and updated as schedules change (although you retain the same course requirements as long as you are continuously enrolled in your degree program).

No more than two grades of C may be applied toward the 30 hours used for the degree. A graduate course can only be repeated once; no more than two courses can be repeated. A minimum GPA is required to successfully complete the degree requirements.
