The Interdisciplinary Music Industry, Bachelor of Musical Arts is an interdisciplinary degree designed for students who seek to combine musical study with focused preparation for careers in the contemporary music industry. Students choose one of three emphases: Recording and Engineering, Live Sound, or Music Industry. Each pathway integrates coursework in music, the liberal arts and sciences, and specialized industry training.

Significant curricular flexibility allows students to tailor their General Studies electives and professional focus according to their goals. During the senior year, students complete an internship in a professional setting and develop a self-designed capstone project that synthesizes their academic study and practical experience.

Grade Requirements:

The minimum passing grade in Applied Music 221 is C-.

GPA Requirements:

Students must earn a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 in all major subject area coursework, and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 across all core, elective, and general education courses.

Residency Requirements:

The final 30 credit hours toward a student's degree must be completed at Roosevelt University, or a minimum of 60 hours must be taken in residence at Roosevelt University.
