Program description
The Certificate in Data Analytics is designed to provide a strong foundation to prepare students for a career within the industry. Recent college graduates and individuals looking to change careers will obtain valuable skills that they can add to their resume making them more marketable to employers. Additionally, students with older degrees can update their skillset to make themselves more marketable as well.
All certificate courses can be applied toward Roosevelt's Master of Science degree in Computer Science for students who subsequently decide to pursue the degree.
Program objectives
The certificate provides students with training that focuses on skills necessary for a career in Data Analytics. Students will be able to obtain, clean, process, explore, analyze, and interpret data and effectively communicate the results.
Admission
To gain admission into the certificate program, participants must be admitted to the university through the regular admission process for the MS in Computer Science program.
Students are required to take four sixteen week courses, therefore the program can be completed in two semesters, taking two courses at a time.
Courses must be completed with a minimum grade of C and a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
