SPAN 401 - SPANISH FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS I
SPAN 401, Spanish for Health Care I, is a Spanish language course geared toward individuals studying or working in health-related fields. It is the first course in the four course Spanish for Health Care Professionals Certificate Program. SPAN 401 will provide students with the linguistic and cultural competencies necessary to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients with limited to no proficiency in Spanish. Covering pertinent grammar and vocabulary relevant to health care situations, the course will also expose students to sociocultural issues specific to Hispanic populations

SPAN 402 - SPANISH FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS II
SPAN 402 will provide students the linguistic and cultural competencies necessary to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients with limited proficiency in English. Covering pertinent grammar and vocabulary relevant to health care situations, the program will also introduce students to sociocultural issues specific to Hispanic populations.

SPAN 403 - SPANISH FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS III
SPAN 403, Spanish for Health Care III, is the third course in a four-course certificate program, Spanish For Health Care Professionals. This is a Spanish language course geared toward individuals studying or working in health-related fields. It will provide students with the linguistic and cultural competencies necessary to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients with limited to no proficiency in English. Covering pertinent grammar and vocabulary relevant to health care situations, the course will also introduce students to sociocultural issues specific to Hispanic populations.

SPAN 404 - CULTURE AND HEALTH IN HISPANIC COMMUNITIES
SPAN 404, Spanish for Health Care IV, is the final course in a four-course certificate program, Spanish For Health Care Professionals. This is a Spanish language course geared toward individuals studying or working in health-related fields. It will provide students with the linguistic and cultural competencies necessary to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients with limited to no proficiency in English. It covers grammar and vocabulary relevant to health care situations, Through a series of readings, the course will also further acquaint students to sociocultural issues specific to Hispanic populations.
