The History minor is an excellent companion to majors in criminal justice, economics, journalism, philosophy, sociology, women's and gender studies, computer science, and any other major that benefits from the research, writing, and deep thinking skills as well as historical knowledge gained from the study of history.
The minor requires six courses in history, including two courses chosen from: HIST 106 THE UNITED STATES TO 1865, HIST 107 THE UNITED STATES SINCE 1865, HIST 110 TOPICS IN IDEAS I, HIST 111 THE WORLD TO 1500, HIST 112 THE WORLD SINCE 1500, and four upper-level courses, at least two of which must be at the 300 level.
Requirements
The minor requires six courses in history.
Students must earn an overall GPA of 2.0 and a grade of C- or higher in each course.
At least two courses must be taken at Roosevelt University.
